Brenda Taylor
By profession I am an Occupational Therapist with 11 years experience in the NHS mental health services and practising solely in private practice since 2006.
Having studied for my Occupational Therapy qualification in York, I worked as a mental health therapist within a variety of NHS settings including inpatient mental health, day hospital and community mental health teams.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and belong to the British Association of Occupational Therapist (BAOT). I adhere to the College of Occupational Therapist’s code of ethics and professional conduct.
I am experienced and skilled in a variety of different counselling and mental health therapies eg:
- Solution focused brief therapy
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Anxiety and stress management
- Relaxation training
- General Counselling
In my NHS and private practice work, I enjoy working with people from a variety of different backgrounds and with a range of emotional and physical difficulties.
I am married and have grown up children.
